We had a magical time on this tour. The team is very professional while maintaining a lovely, personal touch. Fia is a guide who can identify different birds by their songs and introduce us to all the flora and fauna of Samoa. A must-do if you love nature !
Fantastic Day. Sep had the great idea to start early and it certainly was wise. I was able to get to the top of RL Stevenson Trail before it got hot and crowded. The Museum House is beautiful and fascinating. And the water slide was the most fun I've had in a long time. Sep took great photos and an amazing video at the water slide. Thank you Sep and brother (who patiently hiked with me up the mountain, providing great company and guidance and photos) so much for a great day.
We had an amazing tour, our only downfall was from the sky, and because of the rain our guides pivoted to ensure we got the best of the day. They were super friendly and knowledgeable about the island and area, and even stopped so we could get freshly picked mango from a roadside stall. We will use this company again on our next trip to Samoa as we are coming back to see the other islands that we didnt have time to see this trip. Would recommend to others
Met immediately after I came out from customs and immigratipn with a sign with my name on it. Efficient transfer to Apia.
Our group had a great time. We loved seeing a bit of Savaii, and would definitely come back to spend more time checking everything out properly. Aunty Ina our tour guide managed to squeeze in 7 locations including an Umu for lunch. The highlights were trying the different foods, everything we ate that day was local food, feeding and swimming with turtles and of course the natural wonders.
Veli my driver was fantastic. Very easy booking system compared to others. My advice to any traveller to Samoa is to look out for your driver holding your name first, I went and bought a SIM card first and tried to call them, whilst having other drivers trying to take me to my destination. Overall very positive experience and will use again.
I was a solo traveler and Coconut Tours was a great choice for me. I opted for the Across Upolu Full Day Tour with Niusila and Rasela. They were both fantastic, and made it feel like a day trip around the island with friends which was great! They were so friendly and knowledgeable about the island and area (and where to get great food and drinks from locals along the way!). I would absolutely use this company again on my next trip to Samoa and would recommend them to anyone looking to book in a tour.
I booked Coconut Tours for airport transport on arrival and departure. Having transport arranged before arriving helps relieve some anxiety of arriving in a new area and trying to get to the hotel. Sep was great at communicating about pickup times and allowed us a last minute pickup time change when we found out the night before that our flight was delayed by 2 hours. Louis, our driver got us to and from the airport. His wife Leafa rode along on one of the trips and was so sweet and kind! When she heard that we didn’t see any sea turtles on our trip to Samoa, she made Louis pull over for a quick stop at a turtle sanctuary on our trip back to the airport (and we finally saw one in the habitat!). We loved our airport transport with Coconut tours and wish we had more time in Samoa to experience more trips with them!
Really great tour, and so glad we made the effort to get up for a 4:30am pickup. However we were a bit disappointed and concerned throughout the day as we only had a stand-by on the ferry back to Upolu and weren't exactly sure what was going to happen which put us on edge a bit - especially when we were again asked if we were going to stay the night on Savaii! As it turned out, we had to get back to the port 2 hours early, and we could only get on as foot passengers. This was fine as we also were picked up at the port in Upolu and taken back to our hotel. It just added some anxiety to the day that spoiled it a bit, and we probably wasted time hanging around the port in Savaii which could have been better spent.
